by: Michael ZennerPosted on: October 21, 2024October 21, 2024 DINNER / AMERICAN / BEEF Hamburger Steaks in Creamy Dill Sauce Pairs well with mashed potatoes or egg noodles Instructions Hamburger Steaks Add all hamburger steak ingredients into a large mixing bowl and combine with your hands Form into 4 patties Heat oil and butter over medium in a large nonstick skillet. Add hamburger steaks and cook 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer onto a clean plate. Creamy Dill Sauce In the same skillet, add the garlic and onion and cook until onions soften Add salt, pepper and flour, stir until incorporated Pour in broth and simmer for 2 minutes while scraping up the brown bits on the bottom of your skillet with a wooden spoon Add cream and dill, bring to a boil and simmer for 1-2 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken Return hamburger steaks to the skillet and simmer for 5-6 minutes until heated through and no longer raw in the center Serve with mashed potatoes or egg noodles Ingredients Hamburger Steaks 1 lb ground beef 4 tbsp breadcrumbs 1/2 large yellow onion, chopped 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 2 tbsp heavy cream 1 egg Creamy Dill Sauce 1 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp butter 1/2 large yellow onion, chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 2 tbsp flour 1/2 cup chicken broth 1 cup heavy cream 2 tbsp dill, chopped
