by: Michael ZennerPosted on: March 4, 2024 DINNER / AMERICAN / CHICKEN Creamy Garlic Chicken with Mashed Potatoes Instructions Chicken Slice the chicken in half lengthwise Flatten the chicken breast filets with a meat hammer Put egg in one bowl, scrambled Put the flour in another bowl Mix the panko, salt, pepper and garlic powder into the bowl and mix together Heat a skillet Once heated, but a few pieces of the stick butter on the skillet Taking one piece of the chicken at a time, drench in the egg then in the flour mixture. Then add to the skillet Cook until the bottom is golden brown Add more butter and flip the chicken Cook the other side until golden brown, adding more butter as needed. Cook until the inside of the chicken is 160 degrees Place the cooked chicken in the oven on the lowest temperature to keep warm Mashed Potatoes Peel the potatoes then chop them up into large cubes Add them to a large pot of water Boil until potatoes are tender and mashable (stab with a fork) Drain the pot and add the potatoes back in Add a stick of butter and the sour cream Add salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste Sauce Combine the chicken broth, bouillon, soy sauce, onion powder, mustard powder, and thyme. Set aside. Melt the butter in a skillet Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant. About 1-2 minutes Add the flour and whisk until browned Add the chicken broth mixture and continue whisking Add in the cream and bring to a simmer Add in the parmesan cheese and mix until melted Add cooked chicken into the skillet and cook for 5 minutes Cook until sauce is thickened Serve the sauce/chicken over the mashed potatoes Ingredients Chicken 1 lb chicken breast 1 cup flour salt pepper 1/4 cup panko 1/2 cup parmesan stick butter, thinly sliced 1 egg Mashed Potatoes 3 large potatoes sour cream butter salt pepper garlic powder Sauce 3 tbsp butter 10 cloves of garlic, minced 3 tbsp flour 2 1/2 cup chicken broth 1 beef bouillon cube 1 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp mustard powder 1/2 tsp thyme 1/2 cup heavy cream / half and half 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
